Do I need to already know what kind of ultrasound business I want to build?
Not perfectly. You don't need to have every detail figured out before joining. You may still be deciding between a few business models, or trying to work out which one makes the most sense as your first move. That's normal. What you do need is a serious direction. You should have spent time thinking about the type of ultrasound business you want to build, researching your options, and getting clear that business ownership is the path you want to pursue. If you're choosing between mobile ultrasound, 3D/4D, diagnostic ultrasound, staffing, contracts, or building a service line inside an existing healthcare setting, we can help you look at the strategy and choose the strongest initial model. Many business owners start with one model and add additional service lines later as they learn what their community needs. The goal is not to build every possible version on day one. The goal is to choose the right first model, get it launch-ready, and build from there. If you have no idea what kind of ultrasound business you want, this probably isn't the right step yet.
Do I need business or sales experience?
No. You do not need to come in with business or sales experience. Most sonographers were trained to scan, document, communicate with patients, and work inside healthcare systems — not build offers, set pricing, create outreach plans, or sell services. That's exactly why the program exists. What you do need is a clear direction, a willingness to learn, and the ability to take action between coaching sessions. We'll help you build the business pieces in the right order so you're not trying to become a marketing expert overnight or piece together a sales process from random advice online.
What does "launch-ready in 60 days" actually mean?
Launch-ready means the core pieces are built enough for your business to start moving. In the first 60 days, we help you choose or confirm your initial ultrasound business model, build your offer, set your pricing, clarify your positioning, map your website direction, start your outreach path, and get the big decisions reviewed before they become expensive mistakes. It doesn't mean every single part of the business is magically finished. It means you're no longer stuck in research mode. You have the structure, assets, and direction to start moving toward launch with confidence.
Why is the program 6 months if I'm launch-ready in 60 days?
Because launch-ready is the first milestone, not the whole business. The first 60 days are about getting the core business pieces built around the model you're starting with. The rest of the 6-month program helps you launch, promote, serve clients, and build the operating pieces behind the business properly. That includes outreach, messaging, follow-up, client onboarding, reporting standards, scan delivery workflow, and the practical systems you need once real people start finding and booking your services. Launch-ready gets you moving. The full 6 months helps you build something that can actually operate.
Who is Ultrasound Business Academy for?
This is for sonographers who have already decided they want to start an ultrasound business and are ready to stop researching and start building. You may already know the exact model you want to launch, or you may be choosing between a few serious options and need help deciding which one should come first. Either way, you're past casual curiosity. You're not just saving posts, joining Facebook groups, and saying "one day." You're ready to choose the right first model, get it launch-ready, and start building the business properly. If you've got the browser tabs open, the business idea half-mapped in your head, and that little voice saying, "I need to stop circling this and actually do it," you'll fit right in.
Who is this program not for?
This probably isn't the right fit if you're still deciding whether business ownership is right for you. It's also not for you if you're looking for motivation instead of implementation, hoping someone else will build the business for you, or unwilling to take action between coaching sessions. You don't need to have every answer before joining. But you do need to be seriously committed to building an ultrasound business. If you're still at "I have no clue what I want to build," this probably isn't your next step. If you're looking for a magic wand, this isn't it. We're good, but we're not Hogwarts.
What kinds of ultrasound business models do you support?
We support sonographers building different types of ultrasound businesses, including mobile ultrasound, 3D/4D ultrasound, diagnostic ultrasound, staffing services, contract-based services, and service lines inside existing healthcare settings. Some clients come in knowing exactly which model they want to launch. Others come in deciding between a few strong options and need help choosing the best first model based on their goals, market, experience, and local opportunities. That's part of the strategy. Many ultrasound businesses also evolve over time. You may start with one model, then add other service lines later as you learn what your community needs and where the strongest opportunities are. Inside the program, we help you choose the right first move and build around it properly.
What's included in the program?
You'll receive the Ultrasound Business Roadmap, monthly one-on-one strategy sessions, access to Jennifer, your coach, and the support team, plus the training, templates, scripts, contracts, and business assets needed to build properly. You'll also receive model-specific guidance so you're not trying to force the wrong launch plan onto the business you're starting with. The goal is simple: you're not left guessing what to do next, building from scratch, or trying to piece together your business from Google searches and Facebook groups.
What happens in the first 60 days?
The first 60 days are focused on getting you launch-ready. If you already know your business model, we build the launch pieces around it. If you're deciding between a few strong models, we help you choose the best initial model first, then build around that. From there, we work on your offer, pricing, positioning, website direction, foundational assets, and first outreach path. By the end of this phase, you should be able to say: "This is the business model I'm starting with. This is who it's for. This is what I offer. This is what I charge. And this is how I start getting it in front of people." That's the point where the business stops living in your head and starts becoming something you can actually launch.
What happens after the first 60 days?
After the launch-ready phase, we help you turn the business outward. In months 3 and 4, we focus on launch and promotion: market strategy, messaging, outreach, a simple process for turning interest into booked services, and tracking. In months 5 and 6, we focus on serving and stabilizing: onboarding, scan delivery workflow, reporting standards, follow-up, and growth planning. That way, you're not just launch-ready on paper. You're building the pieces that help the business operate properly.
How often do cohorts open?
We open new cohorts 4 times per year: February, May, August, and November. We do this because Ultrasound Business Academy is a high-touch program. Every member receives one-on-one coaching and support while they build, so we do not run open enrollment all year. Each cohort is capped so we can properly support the sonographers inside.
Why do you pre-register spaces before the cohort starts?
We pre-register spaces because Ultrasound Business Academy is a high-touch program, not an open-access course. Every member receives one-on-one coaching and support while they build, so we cap each cohort and plan the coaching load before the cohort begins. Pre-registration lets serious applicants secure their place early, access the Business Launch Prep Package, and begin preparing before the official start date. If a cohort fills during pre-registration, we won't open extra spaces for that intake. That's how we protect the quality of support inside the program.
Is pre-registration required?
Pre-registration is required to secure your place in the upcoming cohort. Because each cohort is capped, we can't guarantee there will still be spaces available when the cohort start date gets closer. If you already know you want support building your ultrasound business, pre-registration gives you the clearest path in. It also gives you early access to the Business Launch Prep Package so you can start preparing before the cohort officially begins.
What happens if the cohort fills during pre-registration?
If the upcoming cohort fills during pre-registration, we won't open extra spaces for that intake. The next available opportunity would be the following cohort. We open new cohorts in February, May, August, and November, so missing one intake may mean waiting several months for the next one. That's why we recommend applying early if you know you want support building your ultrasound business.
Why not just wait until closer to the cohort start date?
You can wait if there's still space. But because each cohort is capped, waiting means there may not be a place left. The other advantage of pre-registration is time. The earlier you secure your seat, the sooner you can access the Business Launch Prep Package, start working through the early decisions, and stop circling the idea. Waiting until the last minute means you may have less time to prepare before the cohort begins — or you may need to wait for the next intake.
What is the Business Launch Prep Package?
The Business Launch Prep Package gives you early access to resources that help you start preparing before the cohort officially begins. You'll begin working through early business decisions, reviewing key resources, and getting clearer on what needs to happen first. This helps you arrive to the cohort with momentum instead of starting cold. It's especially useful if you're serious about building your ultrasound business and don't want to spend the next few months stuck in research mode.
What is the Launch-Ready Guarantee?
If you come in seriously committed to building an ultrasound business, attend your coaching sessions, complete the assigned implementation work, submit your milestones, and follow the roadmap, you won't be left half-built. If you've done the work and you're still not launch-ready in the first 60 days, we'll keep working with you at no additional coaching cost until your launch-ready milestones are complete. Launch-ready means you've chosen or confirmed your first business model and built the core pieces around it: offer, pricing, positioning, website direction, foundational assets, and first outreach path. This guarantee is tied to participation and implementation — because that's what actually gets an ultrasound business built.
What is the investment, and are there payment plan options?
A $1,000 pre-registration fee reserves your seat in the upcoming cohort and gives you access to the Business Launch Prep Package, so you can start working on your business ahead of the cohort start date, and be ready to hit the ground running.
When enrollment opens, you'll select your investment option:
The investment for the full 6-month cohort is $11,500 pay in full.
You can also choose the payment plan: $3,500 enrollment payment plus 6 monthly payments of $1,500.
What happens after the 6-month cohort ends?
After completing the cohort, you'll have the option to continue receiving one-on-one coaching, strategy, and support month to month for $1,500 per month.
There's no long-term commitment.
Some people are ready to keep building on their own after the 6 months. Many others want continued eyes on the business as they grow. The roadblocks and issues we encounter when we launch aren't the same ones that we encounter as we start scaling the business.
You'll be able to choose what makes sense for you.
Do I have to quit my day job?
Absolutely not — and we recommend you don't. All trainings are on-demand in your client portal, so you can build your business while keeping your current position. Build at your pace, on your schedule.
Are contracts included?
Yes. Your service agreement, HIPAA contract, and bonus contracts are all included and ready to customize. A healthcare attorney would charge $7,500–$10,000 for the service agreement alone. It's in your portal from day one.
Do I have direct access to Jen?
Yes. The program includes monthly one-on-one strategy sessions with your business coach, plus daily M–F access to Jen and the team. Most questions answered within one business day. This is not a generic support desk — it's your business building team.
